A BIT ABOUT ME…

I started my 3 year LLB Law degree in 2021 and graduated July 2024. I am currently studying the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1&2) course at The University of Law. I’m finding the course both engaging and rewarding – it’s definitely time consuming and demanding! However, I’ve always been someone who enjoys a challenge. I have recently completed my SQE 1&2 exams and currently awaiting my SQE 2 results. My lectures will start up again at the end of this month for the masters element of my course where I will be studying elective modules throughout this summer. Once I finish, my ultimate aim is to gain a training contract from a reputable law firm. Whether you’re considering law, already in the middle of your studies or gearing up for the SQE exams, I hope this blog offers insight, support and even a bit of reassurance.

WHY I STARTED THIS BLOG

When I first began my legal journey, I often felt like I was figuring everything out on my own- from how to revise effectively to managing the pressure of constant applications and deadlines. I also felt (more recently) that there isn’t much information or resources available for the SQE exams in terms of how to revise effectively and efficiently. I personally think it’s interesting and insightful reading about other students’ experiences and tips within the legal field. So, why not start my own blog where I can share my own experiences, knowledge and guidance.

WHAT I HOPE TO GAIN FROM THIS BLOG

If this blog offers some support, confidence or reassurance to anyone who is pursuing the same legal journey, then the purpose of this blog has been fulfilled. I understand that the path to becoming a lawyer is intense, rigorous and extensive. However, it will be worth every exam, every late night revision session and every flashcard.

There is still a long road ahead and I am eager to share my experiences along the way. This is just the beginning and if you’ve carried on reading this far, I hope you’ll follow along as I navigate the rewarding path to becoming a qualified lawyer.
